That's me looking semi-adorable heading to a wedding.
It doesn't mean you hate your little one. Or that they will be awful, angry, crying, bad sleepers. It just means that for some people this whole growing-a-baby-inside-you thing isn't very much fun. Or *any* fun at all.
Conversely, if you love being pregnant, don't expect that to mean that you will breeze through labor and delivery, and that you will have a straight-from-heaven baby who sleeps through the night.
These things aren't at all correlated.
The best I can offer, is that being pregnant is just the first stage of your baby's life, and as you will surely learn soon after birth, each stage has it's ups and downs, and the only certain thing is that the stage will pass and a new one will take it's place.
So I'm hoping you fall into the slightly-nauseous-for-3-months category, rather than the elite sick-as-a-dog-the-entire-time category that I find myself in. Again. At least I'm not surprised:)

I'm right there with you Jessica! I hated it for the first 17 weeks, then was sort of okay with it for a month or two, and now that I'm in the home stretch (34 weeks tomorrow!), I hate it again. I'm ready to have my body back! To wear cute clothes! To be able to bend over and get up from the couch without assistance! To be able to BREATHE! I can't wait to meet our little girl, but being preggers sure isn't much fun at all.
I almost started this with "Once upon a time" as my pregnancies were so many years ago! Your post brought back all those memories! Our first pregnancy failed, so when I had my first bout of morning sickness with my second pregnancy, at about the three month mark, my husband and I jumped up and down we were so happy that the pregnancy was going well! The novelty soon wore off as I continued to have intermittent morning sickness throughout until about two weeks before our older daughter was born. When pregnant with our second daughter, I spent most of the time lying on the couch with anemia. I guess that every pregnancy is different just as every child is different!
I didn't like bring pregnant and mine was smooth sailing. It felt weird to have someone growing inside of me. I would do it again, but I don't love it.
Being pregnant is hard. Especially if you're violently ill. If I ever do it again (we already have 5) I'm getting a pic line installed as soon as I get a plus sign on the pee stick. Beats spending all your time in the urgent care getting re hydrated.
