Sometimes, I have a great idea, or so I think when I see it on Pinterest, then the actual execution fails in some way.
In this case, I thought that creating a rainbow of ice cubes would be great, and super fun for the Rainbow Birthday Party.
Um, no.
Or at least, using food coloring to create colored ice cubes was a bad, bad idea.
Not only did the water look like this:
Totally unappetizing.
But my fingers were dyed in the process.
Enter, idea #2.
Cut up fruit in a rainbow of colors, place in pitcher, fill with sparkling water.
So, so, much better. Plus the water was fruit flavored, which my kids loved, since there wasn't any juice at the party for them.

Ooh it's like fancy spa-water!
ReplyDeleteOh, those deceptive pins...
ReplyDeleteThe fruit is a great idea. We love our sparkling water, but usually just have lemon, I'll have to change it up now. Thanks for the idea!
What's that thing behind the baby that looks like a mini leaf blower?

I'm definitely going to have to try this for our next get together! Such a great idea!
