Rainbow Sparkling Water

Sometimes, I have a great idea, or so I think when I see it on Pinterest, then the actual execution fails in some way.

In this case, I thought that creating a rainbow of ice cubes would be great, and super fun for the Rainbow Birthday Party.

Um, no.

Or at least, using food coloring to create colored ice cubes was a bad, bad idea.

Not only did the water look like this:

Totally unappetizing.

But my fingers were dyed in the process.

Enter, idea #2.

Cut up fruit in a rainbow of colors, place in pitcher, fill with sparkling water.

So, so, much better. Plus the water was fruit flavored, which my kids loved, since there wasn't any juice at the party for them.

  1. Oh, those deceptive pins...

The fruit is a great idea. We love our sparkling water, but usually just have lemon, I'll have to change it up now. Thanks for the idea!

  2. What's that thing behind the baby that looks like a mini leaf blower?

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I love hearing what you have to say! Sometimes I'm busy chasing after the three kids who can walk, or feeding the baby, but I promise, at some point I'll get back to you and head over to your blog (if you have one) to leave you a comment too:)
