Rainbow Birthday Party

I can try, but sometimes these birthday posts just turn into an explosion of pictures.

This party, was super simple, I love a rainbow theme, since you can use anything and everything you have and just say it's part of the rainbow. Including, creating a rainbow of flowers on the table.

We also had a morning party, which meant that the food was less exhaustive than a dinner party. I just threw together some individual frittatas (see my frittata recipe here), rainbow goldfish, rainbow veggie chips, and cake.

Of course, we also provided coffee, and champagne for mimosas. I love the ice bucket full of frozen water balloons, this was a great party trick to avoid tons of dripping bottles.

I made a rainbow fruit salad,

and tried, again, to get a family picture that I liked.

Thankfully we got cute ones of my mom, my sister with her friend (and loyal blog reader) Ellie, and some cake shots.

Pus my hubby, who hates being on the blog, but will never read this far down in a post to see:)

All told, the party was extra special with the following fun rainbow ideas:

rainbow cake pops
homemade hair accessories
rainbow paper chains
6-sided rainbow snowflakes
Sparkling rainbow water
Rainbow balloons in the ice bucket

  6. So cute! I love the rainbow theme. And we have no good family photos and I only have two little ones to contend with. It's crazy trying to get all of us to look and smile at the same time!

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I love hearing what you have to say! Sometimes I'm busy chasing after the three kids who can walk, or feeding the baby, but I promise, at some point I'll get back to you and head over to your blog (if you have one) to leave you a comment too:)
