Even though we are starting to get a bit of a chill to the air, we still spend as much time as we can outside on our deck.
My three year old loves to build forts, and since I won't let him do that with the Crate and Barrel pillows in the living room that I stalked for a year til they went on sale, the outdoor couch is the perfect spot for this.
I'm thinking of letting the fort building get a bit more elaborate, maybe add a blanket, see where it goes...
As the son of two trained architects, we are so proud of his building skills, he even makes sure to create a "strong foundation of concrete".

we love fort building here, too!!!! the kids and chris build them in the playroom. :)
Sweet! Weston has two play tents that likes to join through elaborate combinations of pillows and blankets.
Fun! My sister and I used to cheat and put up our camping tents in our room. We had so much fun playing in them.
Awwww - what a blast! Your deck is such a great spot ….and how much fun are forts?? Over school vacations my kids build elaborate forts that we leave up for the whole week. You're only a kid once!
Haha! I have such fond memories of building forts with blankets and cushions in our living room as a kid. Forts are the best! :)
He's a genius! And architectural savant!

Just came over from 6th Street. Your home is great. Love the balance of function and form. I had a visceral reaction to your kitchen. GREAT WORK!
