I am a firm believer in crafting with my children, also baking, cooking, and ideally *not* going to Ikea with them on a Sunday morning. I'm just saying, not that I've ever been that ridiculous...
So back to the point. Since I like to craft with my kids I usually share everything with them, but a few items need to be away from their reach, like sharp vinyl weeding tools (imagine your dentist's plaque scraper), paints, and anything I want to save. This obviously includes at least one bottle of glue, since the kid-friendly bottles get the lids all clogged up and stop working!
The before is just embarrassing. It's a plastic bag from Michael's.
Now there are two boxes, one for the vinyl for my new Silhouette Cameo,
and one for the adult craft supplies.
Random aside- do not open your vinyl cutting machine the morning of a birthday party, it will be really interesting to your children and you will fall way behind on party preparation!

this cracked me up. same situation here. I had mine out this weekend and C kept asking if he could use certain things. Usually I don't mind but some stuff is just for mama! Not to mention it's not washable like their own paints.
ReplyDeleteI too always craft with my daughter and my supplies are a mess. I never find what I need when I need it. You've inspired me to use the pretty pink containers I got at Target to good use!
ReplyDeleteMy home decor and craft storage is a hot mess. If I post a picture, will you still love me? LOL :)))) It is bad! You will feel like a craft queen when you see mine.
ReplyDeleteCute! Love the decorative boxes... one of these days I'll get my craft space all prettied up! :)

Looks great Jessica! I have a ton of organizing projects to do at my house too! I really need to organize and purge my craft supplies. Have a wonderful day! Angie xo
ReplyDeleteMy "before" looks like a michaels bag too! And my "after" is currently a michaels bag in a dedicated craft drawer. Total upgrade.
ReplyDeleteBesides for being impressed with your upgraded organizational method...I now want to come and craft with you.
ReplyDeleteapparently it is general consensous...no crafting when children are near. It only ends in delays and messes :-)
ReplyDeleteThey have published the new activity has been shared so that can be connected and how to used in this post shared. The good efforts for the creative image and useable also.
