If it wasn't obvious from all the previous posts, I really do have a newfound obsession with my vinyl cutter (ahem, the four doors downstairs labeled with decals). And I love, love using decals in my house. Maybe it's that we only just finished a little over a year ago, but I'm not at all ready to repaint or hurt my walls in any way, so decals give me the perfect amount of flexibility.
The closet doors in the guest room were just standard before.
Then I stuck on a decal of a dress form.
Peeling off the transfer paper on the diagonal.
And voila!
I picked up a half moon table and mirror at HomeGoods to give the corner something. I have big plans for table-scaping it for the final guest room reveal in two weeks.
Ugh, who am I kidding, even the words "table-scaping" are fear inspiring to me. Any good advice for someone who likes to "set it and forget it"?
As always, check out my fun friends and their summer switches!

You go, girl! If I had a vinyl cutter, my kids and pets would probably even have decals on them. I love the dress form - it adds a really nice touch to my room. Looking forward to the big reveal - am I supposed to come out for a visit for that?
ReplyDeleteI am trying to learn to table-scape. Only because I have this table in my living room and it looks naked. And I get bored. If you send me your baby, I won't be bored anymore AND you will have time to tablescape! Problem solved.
ReplyDeleteI have seen several cute projects done with a vinyl cutter lately. This may be something I put on my Christmas or Birthday wish list.
ReplyDeleteLove the decal! And that Home Goods mirror has me wanting one of my own! Love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd I have absolutely no table scaping advice or talent. It sends shivers of fear down my spine too!
:)

I now need a vinyl cutter. You've done so many great projects!
ReplyDeleteHow cool! I never would have thought of that! What a great way too add a little something to a door! Smart!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your cute decals! Good luck tablescaping! It is so frustrating for me because I'm constantly changing and tweaking mine!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Just like everything else you do. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your vinyl touches, Jessica! I've been considering getting a cutter for over a year now -- any advice for the shopper?
ReplyDeleteKudos on your guest room!

Tablescaping is fun! :) Everything looks great so far. Man I am way behind on my homegoods shopping. Starting to feel withdrawal.
ReplyDeleteJessica,
ReplyDeleteI love that mirror against the dark walls! It looks amazing. I can't wait to see the final reveal!

karianne
I love decals too - and that is perfect (because you guessed it, I also love, and have my own dress form)!
ReplyDeleteSet it and forget it is not in my vocabulary - here's to getting your inner tweaker on with that naked table!
