Play Area Next to the Kitchen

It's not the playroom, which is one floor down. That room is never clean enough for me to photograph, so you'll only see a sneak peak from the post with all the paint colors in the entire house.



This is the space that is open to the kitchen. It houses our art table with an art supply carousel and where we make projects like button letters before school.



This is our son's play kitchen with the impartial time-teller (aka a clock) above it.



Originally the play kitchen was a gift from our son to our daughter when he was born. As I mentioned when I talked about how to welcome a new baby into the family, it's important for the ne baby to get a gift for the older sibling. In our case, our daughter used the play kitchen sporadically, and it's our son who loves it! Good thing I can see it from the kitchen.

The proximity to the kitchen also means he can pull up a stool for a snack while I'm cooking.

The play area is through a set of doors from the library which has toys on the bottom two shelves.

If I'm sitting at my table, I can even see kids playing or a baby on a Gymini Activity Gym through the doors.
