Protecting a Linen Purse

I give all of the credit to my mother, who thought of this. We were together getting a few things for spring/summer and I got this lovely linen purse. I've had purses that were light colored before, and they all had really bad endings. A pink leather purse somehow got a black stain, a camel colored leather purse with a white stain, and a khaki baguette purse that just looked old and dirty by the end of summer. To avoid that outcome, I sprayed my new purse with Formula 303 Protectant, the scotchguard-esque fabric treater that I used on the dining room chairs. Works like a charm.

I did the spraying outside on the deck, since it needs to cure in the sun and it's super smelly.

  2. Great idea because I am definitely not gentle with my purses. I once had a white leather purse and by the end of the Summer it was cream with black marks all over it.

  3. Great idea! I just got a pair of super cute linen wedges. I sprayed them with protectant this weekend because I want them to stay pretty as long as possible.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I love hearing what you have to say! Sometimes I'm busy chasing after the three kids who can walk, or feeding the baby, but I promise, at some point I'll get back to you and head over to your blog (if you have one) to leave you a comment too:)
