As always, I can't cook or craft without my big kids "helping".
Clearly they thought it was a real party.
So many dollar store frames, all waiting to be used.
Four separate craft projects all coming together to create a spring mantle! You'll see more how-to's as the season gets going. I displayed a shell collection, made toilet paper flowers, a newspaper heart tree, and chalkboard writing slates.

This is really cute! The first time I tried to get spray paint at Lowe's in Fl they not only ID'd me, but they didn't "trust" my out of state ID so I had to talk to a manager before they would let me leave with it... I'm flattered when I get ID'd for Alcohol, I was annoyed by this. (I haven't been 18 for 8 years)
ReplyDeleteYou know what is so cool about that? That your kiddos are out there with you! Too cute. So nice for them to feel "in on it".
ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous!! Enjoy =)
First can of spray paint? Really? I'm going to assume that here in Va. @ my Home Depot they don't "card" because I've never been asked, and I purchase spray paint, a lot. If I think about this I may get depressed! But on to your fun art ...
ReplyDeleteWhat a bright and happy mantle. I love the large barcode / rainbow piece that brings it all together ... hope they'll be how to's for that soon. Have a great spring day!

I always have to chuckle when I get carded at Home Depot for spray paint. I can only assume, since your first experience with spray paint obviously was a success, this won't be your last.

Cute and I see some bottle cap art........
ReplyDeleteI will report back to Home Depot that you ventilated and didn't inhale.

Now that is one fun & colorful mantel! It looks great, Jessica!
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely! I can't believe that was your first can of spray paint. I bet you'll be addicted now!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I haven't started in with the spray paint yet. I actually cannot buy in the city, so I need to find a Lowe's outside city limit!
ReplyDelete:)

So fun! I love the bright stripes! Can't wait to see each project. Thanks for sharing @ the Delectable Home.
ReplyDeleteI'm new here, so I apologize if you have talked about the big piece of artwork in your picture, but I have fallen in love and I need info! Did you make that? If so, is there a tutorial? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWeee! Seems like the spray painting activity with kids involve is a lot more fun than by just doing it alone. Also it's good to see them being too curious about something, in which could enhance their inclination to artistry and painting stuff. Will work on these kind of activity with my friend for sure. Best, Chloe H.
