See all those stairs? Those are what keep me and the kids away, so we don't disturb the many, many phone calls that go on.
He is incredibly supportive of this blog, but not quite jumping on the bandwagon enough to clean his office for me to reveal to the entire blogosphere:) So here is just a sneak peek into his domain. If I ever get in there to organize it for him (which I'm sure he's waiting for), I'll do a proper, all corners reveal then.
The chairs are from Williams Sonoma home 4 years ago, the desk from Room and Board, bookshelves, the lovely Expedit from Ikea. Adorable pic of him and our son from last year. A new one of him and our daughter on skis is going up soon. Oh, and the deck is for him to pace around while he is on the phone.

Seriously, the deck is to die for. ;) I don't think I would ever get any work done. Great that he is able to work from home!! :)
ReplyDeleteHow many afternoon lunch "dates" do you have on that deck? You know nothing say's love'n like a view of Alcatraz!
ReplyDelete~Bliss~
I wish I had that deck at my house! I think I would live out there! It's so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI would be useless working from home. Haha! I know you mentioned he is an architect but what does he specialize in? Residential or commercial? Do you like to still help him out on the brainstorming or whenever there is a deadline? I worked as an interior designer specializing in healthcare before having our little girl.
ReplyDeleteLook at that view! How does he ever get any work done?? Love those chairs too!
ReplyDeleteFrom what you showed...it's fabulous...just like the rest O' yo' house!!!
ReplyDeleteWith that deck and view I'm not sure how much work I could actually get done ... I'd just be gazing at the horizon! Yay for hubby who can concentrate! Love the herringbone pattern chairs with nailhead but nothing is better than the pic of hubby and son. Looks like a very functional workspace and perfect male / neutral decor Jessica. Have a great weekend.

My hubby is a phone pacer too! Can NOT sit still ;) What a great trip to work in the morning he has. No taffic. Must be nice to have him so close.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great space! Looks very comfortable although I don't think I would get too much done with the view! Have a great weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteThat deck is so cool! And it looks like a "real" office! Does he have clients/meetings there?
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a beautiful office space Jessica! Your husband must be so happy to have this space at home! Angie xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful view from the deck! Such a great idea to have it located just off the office. Your house is beautiful!

what a view!! who could work?!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely view he has and so practical that is a bit separated from the rest of your home by the stairs.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a gorgeous deck like that I would rarely get anything done.
ReplyDeleteVery stylish as far as a gentlemans study goes, Im impressed! The views from your home always take my breathe away, I'd work from that home as well if I had those views .... not to mention a live in lunch date :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm a new follower through the Sunday Social! Such fun! I was attracted to your blog by it's name, and I'm so glad I was! I can tell already I'll be back often for a visit.
ReplyDeleteMy SIL also works from home and my daughter is anxiously awaiting the day he will let her re-do his office. At the moment, it is rather a disaster, but as he works via the internet, he doesn't need to worry about clients coming in. I know he would fully appreciate your hubby's deck though. It's glorious! Well, must run! Take care and hope to have you visit me over at the Little Shack on the Hill!
I am so in love with the nailhead trim on the chairs! I can't wait until my office is officially done in the basement.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing home you have! Love the blog, i'm your newest follower!!

Love the office with Expedit. I just added a new shelving unit when updating my office/create space. Love how the baskets hide projects. Great chairs from Pottery Barn. Peaceful and productive space. ~CJ

Your office is freaking awesome. From the interiors to the furniture used is just really great. It kinda reminded me of the office space in makati city I'm renting. Lovely view by the way.
